Agustin Peña

As a partner and the director of investment Sales, Agustin Peña brings a multidisciplinary approach, adding value to some of the most complex real estate deals done at Berko & Associates.

Observing his grandfather, a property/land owner in the Dominican Republic, Agustin decided to pursue a career in real estate. He enrolled in Baruch College Real Estate program, graduated and was specifically noted for his outstanding work in his market feasibility report which he delivered to a board of major New York developers and investors that included, among others, William Newman.

“Watching my grandfather was instrumental in developing who I am now, as a man and professional,” said Pena. “Watching the results and benefits of his hard work – the way he handled situations with grace, his undertaking of his responsibilities, constantly operating with the highest of integrity, and the respect he received from family, friends and colleagues – all signaled to me that fulfillment lies in dedication to ones morals and ones work. That was truly the beginning of my career.”

The same passion that Agustin saw in his grandfather, and that continues to inform his professional goals today, is responsible for Agustin quick ascent at Berko. In his first five years, Agustin earned three promotions, and was named Partner in his fourth year. In 2008 he earned the B & A Top Producer of the Year Award, and has consistently met sales goals as a result of innovative and creative sales and leads generation plans. His accomplishments include proven managerial experience, exceptional quantitative analysis and strategy, and a sophisticated business approach that has resulted in his clients diverse portfolios.

Those formative experiences inspired Agustin to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. Agustin earned his B.S. in Real Estate & Metropolitan Development from Baruch College, and has since 2005 continued to perfect his trade with Berko & Associates.

Agustin sophisticated approach to real estate valuation, finance and sales enables him to develop targeted programs for his clients to maximize their bottom line return on investment and growth capacity.

“Success is not stagnant. It isn’t resting on what you’ve done,” he said. “For me, success is constantly developing yourself, and then constantly challenging yourself to reach higher levels of accomplishment for yourself and your clients.”

Agustin is an officer for ALPFA; Latino Association for Business Professionals, NAIOP; the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and BCREAC; the Baruch College Real Estate Alumni Club. He resides in Maplewood, New Jersey, with his wife, Jessica. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, working out at the gym and spending quality time with his family.
